October October 24th, 2006 Consortium for the Healthier Miami-Dade – Elder Health Issues/Mayor’s Initiative on Aging Please join us at us as we plan and implement the Mayor’s Initiative on Aging. A wellness and safety awareness campaign for the 55 and older. October 26th, 2006 Consortium for the Healthier Miami-Dade – School Based Issues Committee - Please join us as we address issues that can impact the lives of our children and the strategies that can be implemented to make them healthier. November November 7th, 2006 Consortium for the Healthier Miami-Dade – Health and the Built Environment - The environment we live in can have an impact on our health. Please join us as we work to educate Miami-Dade County about how to make their communities more healthy. November 8th, 2006 Consortium for the Healthier Miami-Dade - Worksite Wellness Committee – Please join us at our planning session and worksite wellness education forum as we educate the community about the benefits of wellness programs at the worksite. November 14th, 2006 Consortium for the Healthier Miami-Dade Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Committee - Please join the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Committee meeting to address chronic disease prevention issues and implement strategies to reduce chronic disease rates. November 20th, 2006 Consortium for the Healthier Miami-Dade Oral Health Committee- Please join us as we explore strategies to educate the community on how oral health impacts our overall well being.
